Cyclodextrins as Dominant Chiral Selective Agents in the Capillary Separation Techniques

This review paper shows the dominant role of cyclodextrins in chiral separations using capillary columns (GC, SFC, CE). The (CDs) have extremely broad selectivity spectra because they several different recognition sites various arrangements and interaction modes. Their features can further improve with their substitutions. selectivities are moderate therefore need high efficiency (capillary columns) for good resolutions. shape is also shown non-chiral isomers too. utility demonstrated examples based on personal observations authors critical literature. theoretical backgrounds recognitions (e.g. H-bond interaction, inclusion, induced fit) discussed depth. not application oriented but dealing mostly physical chemical background CDs.
